Hot Stone Massage Treatment

Hot stone massage is a form of massage therapy that uses basalt stones. These stones are known for their ability to hold heat, helping to create a deep tissue massage to work tight, knotted muscles and release tension. The heat penetrates deep into the tissues without the use of forceful pressure. Placing and kneading hot stones over muscles helps increase an area’s circulation and blood flow to stimulate healing to painful or damaged muscles. The deep tissue massage and heat of the stones also aid in the ability to move toxins and waste through the body. Helping to promote relaxation, ease stress and anxiety, as well as alleviates muscle aches pain.

Reiki

Reiki is a spiritual healing art. It is not massage nor is it based on belief or suggestion. The session is performed by a Reiki Practitioner (RP or RMT) using specific Reiki hand positions. During a Reiki session, the client is fully clothed while comfortably reclining on a massage table or seated in a chair. The practitioner places her hands on strategic parts of the client’s body, generally over the chakras. The practitioner acts as a medium through which ki flows, not directing the flow but acting as a channel for the energy. A Reiki session aids in stress reduction and it is almost always a very relaxing experience.
Reiki does not attack disease but rather supports well-being by strengthening the body’s ability to heal through better balance. Reiki may not always bring about a cure, but it can bring about a spiritual healing through restoring energy flow and providing a sense of well-being.
60 min session – $45
90 minute session – $60
